ESPN GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS
STORY
For sports fans. Anytime. Anywhere.
ESPN’S Digital Center 2 is one of the largest and most technologically advanced broadcast facilities in the world. The space is home to the jewel of the crown, the SportsCenter studio. It was important in the common areas of the building to celebrate SportsCenter, the ESPN talent, and technology innovation – all relevant themes for the inhabitants of the facility. A wall with over 100 catchphrases, made famous on ESPN, is an unexpected way to celebrate the on-air talent. When famed SportsCenter anchor, Stuart Scott, passed away the catchphrase wall became an unintended tribute wall with employees and visitors placing flowers beneath his most famous phrase "Boo-yah!"
The Cafe at ESPN is the heart of the campus where thousands of employees gather to disconnect from the stress of the day and reconnect with their colleagues. The project celebrates a day in the life ESPN employees through a dynamic video wall showcasing behind the scenes imagery, multiple walls that highlight involvement in corporate philanthropy, artwork from the ESPN KidsCare Center and other walls that display the playfulness of the ESPN culture.
